A church must always be a place of REFUGE

Our church is a place of refuge. Not a place for anyone to experience harm or be put at risk of experiencing harm. We aim to keep our church family safe by ensuring our officers, volunteers, and members who work with children, young people and vulnerable adults are trained and cleared by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). We host local training sessions in line with the Local Safeguarding Board (Slough LSB website). Our officers and volunteers also attend the Keeping Church Family Safe (KCFS) training sessions run by the British and South England Conferences of Seventh-Day Adventist Churches. Being active in the community also means we have a responsibility to ensure the people we meet and support are in contact with safe adults. We inform everyone we come into contact with that we have a responsibility to report issues of safeguarding to the relevant agencies to ensure they are protected and the concern is addressed.

Do not suffer in silence. You do not have to carry that burden or worry alone or anymore. We will listen. We will take the right action to support you and ensure appropriate actions are taken to address the matter.
