The Adventurer Bible Experience, ABE, was launched at the British Union Adventurer Camporee in 2018 and continues to be a big success.
Every year the programme grows as more and more children study and learn the Bible.Their commitment establishes strong foundations for their spiritual journey and ensures their character remains firmly in Christ amongst the trials of life.
Our Adventurers embrace the challenges they encounter through the months of study, working together in teams to accomplish their goals and be successful. We know however that there is no bigger success than having a personal relationship with God. Every Adventurer on the ABE program learns to be honest, kind, and true just like Jesus.
Each Adventurer on the ABE program is given 2 or 3 chapters from the Bible to learn. It may seem like a tall order to accomplish but our Adventurers continue to be successful and they are motivated to continue in the program.
From September to April, our Adventurers are given tailored learning schedules that they follow at home. We also meet once a week alternating between online meetings and meeting up in person. Their progress is assessed and reviewed by our ABE coaches who work alongside their parents. It is an all round team effort.
The ABE program has 4 levels of testing. The Adventurers are able to showcase what they have learnt through their dedicated hours of studying the Bible. ABE teams would answer a series of questions at each of the following rounds.
Levels Progression/Classification
Level 1 - Area 5 testing First and Second place
Level 2 - South England Conference testing (SEC) First and Second place
Level 3 - British Union Conference testing (BUC) First place
Level 4 - Trans European Division testing (TED) Final level
The obvious opportunity and benefit of ABE is studying the Bible and having a closer relationship with God. Our Adventurers are also learning to work effectively in a team, even at their tender age. They continue to demonstrate a healthy ability to recall information from memory; a necessary skill we believe must be retained even in an increasing digital age.
Our Adventurers love the trips and boot camps we run to help them through the months of studying their chapters. Once a year, our Adventurers work hard to get through to the Trans European Division testing for the added bonus of traveling to different countries in Europe.
In April 2025, our Adventurers successfully completed the Trans European Division testing in Budapest, Hungry, gaining FIRST PLACE, scoring 100%.
In April 2026, our Adventurers are aiming to claim another first place at the Trans European Division final testing in Poland. City and venue in Poland TBC.
